It's been five long years since British folk rock band Hardy last released an album, but they're finally back with a brand new record entitled Mockingbird & Crow. HARDY will release "the mockingbird & THE CROW," his second full-length studio album, on January 20, 2023, following a win as the Academy of Country Music's Songwriter of the Year and a trio of No. 1 songs on country radio.

HARDY has released three new songs and announced his highly anticipated sophomore album, Mockingbird & THE CROW, which is set to be released in January 2023 and is now available for preorder.
The 2022 ACM Songwriter Of The Year posted to social media late Sunday evening (Oct. 9) to announce three new songs for fans, including "here lies country music," "the mockingbird & THE CROW," and "TRUCK BED."
The 32-year-old Philadelphia, Mississippi resident shared a video from June 2022 on Instagram, stating that he had long considered equating mockingbirds pecking at crows soaring in the air to exploring the disparity between country and rock music.
On the one hand, as a songwriter, he frequently feels compelled to emulate trends; furthermore, as a Mississippian (the state bird is the mockingbird), he feels compelled to emulate the latter. However, in the case of the former, he, like the crow, flies his own course in rock.
The Hardy New album's title song, like most of what has been released so far, is an ambitious endeavor by HARDY to evolve his craft from working-class hero to working-class superhero status. The album will also include his current country radio smash, the Lainey Wilson duet "wait in the truck," as well as "red," a duet with longtime collaborator Morgan Wallen, and previously released tracks "here lies country music," "JACK," and "TRUCK BED."
In addition to announcing his three new songs, he also provided an update on his and his crew's health following a major tour bus tragedy earlier this month. "I'm feeling a lot better," HARDY stated.
Still a little bruised, but man, things are looking up." Later, he shared that his photographer, Tanner Gallagher, tour manager, Noah Brown, and bus driver, Ricky, are all "on the rise." Thank you for your kind words. It's been a difficult few days, but everyone is doing OK."
The chart-topping musician went on to say that, despite recent setbacks, he intends to press on with his new work.
